Upon completion of her graduate studies, Kate worked as a money manager in the Portfolio Investment Department of a large pension fund. She then spent 19 years with major Wall Street firms, reaching the level of Director of Taxable Fixed Income. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Kate combined the skills she acquired in financial management with her success as a local entrepreneur, to create her own company, EMICO Advisory Services. Kate does what she enjoys most: helping people make sound financial decisions.
In addition to her professional achievements, Kate is an Atlanta resident of 30 years, enjoys school and recreational activities with her three children, and participates in many new activities, including aerial ropes courses, tubing, and visiting National Parks across the country. She occasionally speaks to church and community groups about international adoption, and is a board member of the US10K Classic, a family festival and race that raises awareness and funding for neglected and homeless children. Kate also enjoys tennis, golf, and most of all, beach time with an occasional visit to the local hot dog stand.
Kate’s credentials: earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Math from St. Bonaventure University and Master of Business Administration from Miami University. Additionally she holds the following securities registrations: Series 7, 24, 63, and 66, Insurance licensing in 15 states, and Investment licensing in 17 states. Kate is a Registered Representative with Osaic Advisory Services. a leading broker-dealer in the independent financial industry.
